A LOOK INTO TUJIA
— tujiatutorials.
The Tujia people (Tujia: Bifzivkar) are a community with a long history. Their native language is Tujia, which belongs to the Tibeto-Burman language family of the Sino-Tibetan language family, a close linguistic relative to the Yi branch. They do not have their own alphabet or writing system and generally use Chinese.
The Tujia people are mainly distributed in the Wuling Mountain area at the junction of Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing and Guizhou. According to the "China Statistical Yearbook-2021", the population of Tujia people in China is estimated to be around 9,587,732.
We aim to spread awareness and increase interest in Tujia culture, and encourage more people to find love in learning Tujia.
